On June 8, Diane Keaton will receive the American Film Insitute's Life Achievement Award. The 71-year-old actress has been reflecting on her decades-long career, from wearing a "ridiculous" wig in "The Godfather" and wanting to relieve her onscreen kiss with Mel Gibson, who she called "gorgeous." The two starred together in Mrs. Soffel and Keaton told The Hollywood Reporter, "I was pushing 40, and he was in his 20s, but I remember how easy he was to work with. And how gorgeous. I had that kiss with him, and I was sitting in the car driving back to the hotel, and I remember trying to relive that kiss because it was really wonderful. Of course I had a crush on him."
