Film director Oliver Stone offered a critique of Megyn Kelly's interview the Russian president.
Stone has been filming a series of conversations for two years in which he interviews Vladimir Putin.
The series will air next week on Showtime.
But for now, the provocative director stated that in NBC's interview, Putin knew his stuff and Kelly did not.
NBC News President Noah Oppenheim offered a retort to Stone's comments, adding that no one at NBC is concerned with the director's thoughts on journalism.
