VIDEO : John Lithgow Looks Back on Acting Career

During a recent roundtable discussion, actor John Lithgow described his diversity of roles from a comedy part on '3rd Rock from the Sun,' to portraying a serial killer on 'Dexter,' and playing Winston Churchill in 'The Crown.' Lithgow, who has won five Emmy Awards throughout his career, explained, "I'm a character man, and I've done a lot of extremely excessive acting in my day. The acting profession surprises me all the time." Lithgow went on say that his role in the movie 'Love is Strange' is his favorite, adding, "It was finally a role where I was asked to do no acting at all. It was the role I had been waiting for for years."
