According to a report, actress and singer Bette Midler, a front-runner to earn her first Tony Award as best actress for the musical 'Hello Dolly', is not currently scheduled to sing at the show June 11. Sources add that Midler's absence is due to a high-stakes standoff between the awards show?s producers and 'Hello Dolly's' lead producer, Scott Rudin. A spokesman for the Tonys said Tuesday, "We don?t discuss specifics about the musical performances in advance of the telecast. The show is still in the planning stage and subject to change.? Midler herself was also famously snubbed by at the Tony's back in 2013 following her acclaimed one-woman bio-drama ?I?ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers.?
