Director Sofia Coppola is among the big winners at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. According to Screenrant, coppola was named Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival Sunday. She received the awaed for her remake of Clint Eastwood?s 1971 Western drama The Beguiled. Coppela is the second woman to win the award in the festival?s 70 year history. the first was Russia?s Yuliya Solntseva, who won in 1961 for her film Chronicle of Flaming Years.
