HBO was in the process of developing a satirical web project with Jon Stewart but a change in plans is keeping Stewart on the sidelines. On Wednesday the network issued a statement saying, "HBO and Jon Stewart have decided not to proceed with a short-form digital animated project." The four-year deal with HBO was first announced in November 2015, three months after he left his 17-year run hosting Comedy Central's "The Daily Show."
