Netflix has purchased the global streaming rights to a new dramey about Bigfoot, starring Michael Shannon. Since his Academy Award-nominated role in 2008's Revolutionary Road, Shannon has been one of the most in-demand actors in the industry. Shannon's new film, Pottersville is being described as Bigfoot meets It's a Wonderful Life. In the film, Shannon plays a local businessman who's mistaken for Bigfoot after a wild night of drinking in a gorilla costume. It's unclear if the deal includes a theatrical release before the film is available on Netflix.
