During Carpool Karaoke, Katy Perry gave Late Late Show host James Corden the backstory of how her feud with Taylor Swift started. She also revealed what it'd take for it to end. The feud started with an interview in Rolling Stone where Taylor said Katy was backstabbing her and trying to sabotage her stage tour. Katy tried to end it and apologize and Taylor was having none of it. Katy said the feud was started by Taylor and she would have to end it as well.
