According to a report, actor Tom Hardy is in final negotiations to star as the Marvel character Venom in the Spider-Man villain's standalone movie. Reports add that Ruben Fleischer, best known for directing Zombieland, is in final negotiations to helm the project. Venom, one of Marvel Comics' top villains, has been a Spider-Man fixture since he was introduced back in 1988. Hardy, who has recently starred in the critically acclaimed movies 'The Revenant' and 'Max Mad: Fury Road' also portrayed Batman villain Bane in 2012?s 'Dark Knight Rises'.
