VIDEO : Chris Cornell's Family Disputes 'Suicide' Findings

On Thursday, news broke that Chris Cornell, the lead singer for grunge band Soundgarden, had died. Then, police revealed that Cornell had committed suicide. Now, Cornell's family is refuting "inferences that Chris knowingly and intentionally" killed himself. In a statement, the family said that without toxicology tests completed, they can't be sure what led to his death, or if any substances were involved. The musician was found dead in his Detroit hotel room Wednesday after performing at a concert. Vicky Cornell, the singer's wife, issued a statement claiming that when she spoke to her husband after the Detroit show, he told her he may have taken "an extra Ativan or two" and was slurring his words.
