According to a report, actors Omar Sy and Luis Guzman will star in Rachid Bouchareb's action comedy 'Belleville Cop' from Lionsgate. In the movie, Sy plays a by-the-books cop, who has built his whole life in the working-class Paris neighborhood of Belleville. A childhood friend of his is then killed after warning him of a drug war that will impact their neighborhood. Following the incident, Sy's character packs his things, moves to Miami and teams up with an American cop played by Guzman, who at first doesn't appreciate his style of keeping the law. Production is reportedly under way in Paris and Miami on the film.
