The sudden death of Roger Ailes Thursday means that the man who helped invent modern conservatism, and its unapologetic, media-bashing and almost racist glory, is gone. However, Ailes legacy continues on in the form of President Donald Trump. The mastermind used his network, along with its controversial host and fellow alleged sexual harasser Bill O'Reilly to build its viewership. The network and the Trump campaign ran on the idea that mainstream media was full of East Coast elitists and liberals, who not only ignored the concerns of your everyday white man, and sneered at them.
