Jessica Simpson?s motivation to create a denim line that?s inclusive of all body shapes and sizes was a personal one. Simpson spoke with Tracy Smith for CBS Sunday Morning about the founding principles of the Jessica Simpson Collection, which launched in 2006. ?It?s very important for me to let every woman feel included,? Simpson explained. ?Like, every person needs to feel included. Simpson has previously spoken out about her struggle with body image under the limelight. The former Weight Watchers spokeswoman once told Women?s Health in an interview, ?Media scrutiny sucks.? She continued, ?I will never understand why people take someone down for what you look like, If I had a character flaw, take me down. But a body flaw? That?s not important.?
