Katrina: American Crime Story has finally found its President George W. Bush in actor Dennis Quaid. Following the massive success of the first iteration of the FX series, franchise creator Ryan Murphy has tapped The Day After Tomorrow actor to play the president when the tragedy hit.
Quaid is no stranger to playing presidential roles as he has previously played Former U.S. President Bill Clinton in the 2010 British-American political movie, The Special Relationship. The new narrative takes on the events of Hurricane Katrina before and after it pummeled New Orleans in 2005 which Bush and his administration drew flak for their handling of the natural disaster.
