On Twitter Wednesday, 'Clerks' director Kevin Smith took the opportunity to throw his hat into the ring for the job of helming DC's upcoming superhero movie 'The Flash'. Smith has already directed multiple episodes of The CW's 'Flash' TV show over the past few years, most of which have been met with critical acclaim. The fate of 'The Flash' movie, which will star actor Ezra Miller, has been left hanging in the balance since 'Dope' director Rick Famuyiwa left the project after signing on to it. Since his departure, Warner Bros. has reportedly gone back to rewriting the film's script while the search for another director continues.
