According to a report, actress Claire Foy, who stars in Netflix's 'The Crown', is rumored to be in the lead for the role of Lisbeth Salander in director Fede Alvarez? 'The Girl in the Spider?s Web'. Should she be confirmed for the project, Foy would follow in the footsteps of actresses Noomi Rapace and Rooney Mara, who previously played the brilliant cyber-specialist/hacker with a dark past. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Foy already the offer to play Salander, but scheduling needs to be worked out first before a deal can be finalized. THR adds that should Foy be unable to take on the role, 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's' Felicity Jones is the other finalist for the part.
