Many people are celebrating Mother's Day today but May 14th also marks another important date. Star Wars creator George Lucas turned 73 today. Born in 1944 in Modesto, California, Lucas would go on to become a filmmaker and major producer in Hollywood. With the success of his first film, American Graffiti, in 1973, Lucas went on to release the first Star Wars film four years later on May 25, 1977. The film?s 40th Anniversary is a little over a week away. Happy Birthday, and may the force be with you.
