Liu is on CBS' Elementary, which is currently awaiting word on its sixth season.
The actress has booked a role on Hulu comedy Difficult People.
Liu will take on the role of Veronica, a morally corrupt, taste-challenge and highly successful book alpha female.
Liu becomes the latest addition to season three of the comedy.
