On Wednesday, Fox announced that it has picked up director Antoine Fuqua?s new medical drama ?The Resident? to series. The show follows senior resident Dr. Randolph Bell, played by actor Bruce Greenwood who helps guide an idealistic young doctor named Dr. Conrad Hawkins, who in turn is played by Matt Czuchry. ?Revenge? actress Emily VanCamp is also set to appear in the show as the female lead. The show, which will also star Manish Dayal and Shaunette Wilson, is set to debut this fall on Fox.
