Way back in 2015, it was announced that Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon were writing a biopic of Gorgeous George for WWE Studios.
While its understandable that many may have forgotten about that announcement, Josh Gad said in a recent interview that he's hard at work, and has just submitted a first draft to WWE.
"It is one of those extraordinary stories that a lot of people don't know about," Gad told
Chris Van Vilet in an interview aboard a train in Venice.
He continued, "Gorgeous George was in many ways the influence for people like Muhammad Ali and for what became WWF and then WWE."
No timeline has been laid out for the film, but UpRoxx reports its possible it could be released as early as next year.
