Sunday night the MTV Movie and TV Awards aired. This year the network created several new categories, even abolishing gender-specific categories in area of acting. Beauty & The Beasts' Emma Watson became the first recipient of the first "gender-neutral acting award". Watson who played Belle in the movie was honored in the Best Actor category. Watson commented on the networks decision saying: "MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone, but to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories."
