Ashley Graham is happily married to Justin Ervin, but before they tied the knot in 2010, they hit a few rocky moments. In an excerpt from her new book, A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty and Power Really Look Like, the 29-year-old model opened up about how she met her now-husband in church, how he wasn't "her type" and how her family didn't always accept their interracial relationship. She explained. "I naively hoped everyone would be color-blind?which is not what happened. I had never seen my loving, hardworking, and wonderful grandma be so hurtful and so racist. I was in shock." While it was a difficult situation, Justin was a gentleman and continued to reach out to her family. She revealed, "Justin called my grandmother on her sixtieth wedding anniversary. Afterward Grandma called my mom and said, 'You'll never guess who called me.' And from then on out, she loved him. Loved him'"
