This week John Legend will go to a Massachusetts college campus and receive an award for his social justice work. On Tuesday, the singer-songwriter will become the first recipient of Salem State University's Salem Advocate for Social Justice award. Legend is to perform and also discuss his work on criminal justice, education, and other issues. Legend is a 10 Grammy Awards. He co-wrote the song Glory that was featured in the 2014 film Selma and that won an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award.
