Demi Lovato has come under fire for Instagramming a sponsored post in which she promotes the detox tea Teami Blends. "This year is all about #selflove truly taking care of myself and exercising has changed everything for me," she wrote. "@teamiblends has sponsored my 30 day detox challenge to help get rid of toxins and my bloating for summer," she wrote. That's when her comments turned messy. Some followers pointed out that the brand sells Teami Skinny, which promises to help users lose weight quickly, isn't regulated by the FDA. Most importantly, fans were upset that Demi would promote a detox tea after overcoming an eating disorder and branding herself as an advocate for body-positivity.
