Universal is rebooting the ?Doctor Dolittle? series with Robert Downey Jr. playing Dr. Dolittle. The new film is now scheduled to be released on April 12, 2019. It was previously scheduled to open on May 24, 2019, but Disney and Lucasfilm had already booked that night to be the premiere date for ?Star Wars: Episode IX.? The ?Dr. Dolittle? franchise follows the story of a man who can communicate with animals. The last rendition of Dr. Dolittle was played by Eddie Murphy.
