Every actor cast on AMC's 'The Walking Dead' knows this: your character will probably get killed off sooner or later.
It's been five years since Jon Bernthal was informed from the get-go that his character Shane Walsh wasn't going to make it.
In fact, he knew it when he auditioned for the part with then-showrunner Frank Darabont.
According to ComicBook.com, Bernthal said he loved that his character had 'a beginning, a middle, and and end.'
He also said he loved that Shane would lose his mind in the process!
Fun fact: Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, also auditioned for the role of Shane!
