VIDEO : Films Added To Cannes Festival Include Roman Polanski's

On Monday Cannes Film Festival organizers announced that they had added seven new selections to the 2017 lineup, including Roman Polanski's ?D?après une histoire vraie? - which translates to ?Based on a True Story.? The film stars Emmanuelle Seigner as a Parisian author with writer?s block who discovers a mysterious woman ? played by Eva Green ? at a book signing, and is said to be a return to the thrillers Polanski made earlier in his career, such as "Repulsion" and "The Tenant." Other noteworthy additions to the 2017 Festival include films by Barbet Schroeder and Ruben Ostlund. The bulk of the lineup was announced on April 13, with selections from Sofia Coppola, Todd Haynes, Noah Baumbach, Michael Haneke, Yorgos Lanthimos. The Canned film festival will run from May 17th to the 28th in the South of France, with director Pedro Almodovar serving as president of the main competition jury, and Uma Thurman heading up the Un Certain Regard jury.
