Brie Larson, the star of the upcoming comic book actioner Captain Marvel, was initially hesitant to play a super hero.
Captain Marvel is s huge step for the actress.
The movie will be in theaters around the world and will make Larson, an Oscar winner, a household name and a bankable action star.
Larson was swayed to take on the coveted role because of her politics and her feminist inclinations.
She said "this movie is everything I care about, everything that?s progressive and important and meaningful,
and a symbol I wished I would?ve had growing up."
The movie starts filming in February 2018.
