Over the weekend, actress Abigail Breslin took to Instagram to talk about why she didn't report her sexual assault, and why so many other survivors don't either. Breslin first posted a graphic from the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), the largest anti-sexual-violence organization in the U.S. Breslin shared that she didn?t report her own rape due to her shock and denial, as well as her fear that her attacker would retaliate and her belief that the truth would hurt her family and friends. She also disclosed that she still suffers from PTSD because of her assault.
