Fans were rightly worried about how this major change would affect the stories they've loved and cherished for decades.
There has been concern that Disney would make major alterations to the original films, much like what Lucas himself did to the cuts over time.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said the company is committed to George Lucas? final cuts.
Disney and Lucasfilms will not alter the original Star Wars films in any way.
Kennedy said with a laugh ?I wouldn?t touch those, are you kidding me?. Those will always remain his.?
