The thriller from the 'Saw' co-creator will be directed by Alexandre Aja and released by the studio's Summit Entertainment label. Lionsgate has acquired the rights to the thriller Smart House, based on an original idea by Saw co-creator James Wan. Alexandre Aja (Piranha 3D, The Hills Have Eyes) will direct Smart House, based on a script by Brad Keene (The Grudge 3, From Within). Wan will also produce the film under his Atomic Monster company banner, with head of production Michael Clear overseeing the project.
