James Gunn, the visionary behind the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, has signed on to direct a third installment of the comic book actioner. On Monday evening, Gunn took to Facebook and announced his decision to reprise his role for the next volume of the Marvel science-fiction blockbuster after several discussions and meetings. The decision comes despite 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' not even being in cinemas yet. Gunn thanked Guardians fans for being "so incredibly supportive and enthusiastic over the past five years, it has moved me to tears on a regular basis."
