In the new Fast & Furious movie, The Fate of the Furious, family took on a whole new meaning.
The villainous hacker Cipher manipulated Dom into doing her bidding, and for a time it was unclear why.
It turns out that Cipher had kidnapped Elena, the Brazilian police officer and former romantic interest of Dom.
Dom is the father of Elena's baby.
In the end, Elena dies and Dom adopts his son.
Elsa Pataky, who played Elena, gave an interview to the Hollywood Reporter, detailing her time with the franchise.
She described her emotions on the last day of shooting.
Summing up her experience, Pataky said "It made me really happy because it's something special."
