Lady Gaga is performing as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival this year. This means Gaga is making history, because she is the first solo woman artist to headline the festival in 10 years. This year, Beyonce was supposed to performed, but backed out because of family obligations. Music critics believe it has been 10 years, since another female artist headlined, because Coachella usually sticks to more alternative styles.
