Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is estimated to bring in $150M opening weekend.
Director James Gunn was recently asked about doing a one-off special with the 'Guardians' team.
Gunn said he would welcome a holiday-themed event, a Christmas special for the ABC network.
He added that it's something that has actually been discussed with Kevin Feige -- the president of Marvel Studios.
