On Wednesday, Warner Brothers announced that Jude Law has been casted as Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
The next installment in the series will introduce fans to Dumbledore years before they met him as the headmaster of Hogwarts.
In the Fantastic Beasts sequel, Dumbledore is still serving as the wizarding school's Transfiguration professor.
Law will join Johnny Depp, and Eddie Redmayne in the as-yet-untitled sequerl, which will hit theaters in November of 2018.
