Visionary director Guillermo del Toro has several projects in the works. In an interview with Collider about his his slate of projects, which includes writing and directing the next Pacific Rim movie. Del Toro mentioned Star Wars and his interest in directing a film for the beloved franchise. While he did not elaborate on details, he did say he ?talked to [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy and [Industrial Light and Magic CCO] John Knoll about ideas.? During an interview with Yahoo, Del Toro talked about Star Wars. In 2015, he came up with an idea to do the origin story of Jabba the Hut.
