The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was the third film in the franchise.
The film was written by screenwriter Chris Morgan, who responded to an open writing call from the producers.
Miller came in and pitched Tokyo Drift with Vin Diesel in mind.

Diesel turned down starring in the movie in favor of a small cameo at the end of 'Tokyo Drift.'
