When actor Henry Cavill auditioned for Man of Steel he didn?t have his fancy modern superman costume. Instead, Cavill had to do a screen test in the original costume worn by Christopher Reeves. At the time, Snyder told Cavill the suit wasn't ready so they made him wear the original suit. The director said "He put it on and when he came out of the trailer, everyone was like, 'Dang, you?re Superman!,"
