On Monday, rapper Drake and EDM duo The Chainsmokers became the top contenders at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards after nabbing 22 nominations each. According to a report, the performers set a record for most nominations in a single year. Other big contenders at the award show include twenty one pilots with 17 nominations and Rihanna with 14. The 2017 awards Billboard Awards, which will be shown on ABC, is scheduled to air live on May 21 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
