Comic book fans and superhero movie viewers rejoice! Variety is reporting that Joss Whedon and DC Comics are teaming up to bring you a standalone "Batgirl" Film. Whedon - who previously wrote and directed "The Avengers" and its sequel for Marvel Studios, will write, direct and produce the film, which will mark the first solo venture for the character on the silver screen.
