During CinemaCon this week, 'Deadpool 2' director David Leitch confirmed that actor Brad Pitt is not in the running to play the time-traveling mutant Cable. Last week, concept art featuring Pitt as Cable surfaced online, leading people to believe he was the front-runner for the role. Leitch explained, "We had a great meeting with Brad, he was incredibly interested in the property. Things didn't work out schedule-wise. He's a fan, and we love him, and I think he would've made an amazing Cable." The Deadpool sequel, which is currently in pre-production, is scheduled to hit theatres sometime in 2018.
