HBO's Westworld pushed a lot of boundaries in its first season. The show played with genre conventions and tropes, while also displaying the worst, and best, aspects humanity had to offer. Some people criticized the repeated and excessive violence toward women, which actress Thandie Newton recently addressed during a panel for the show. She said she feels that Westworld isn?t simply showcasing violence for the sake of good television, but instead is ?part of the solution, not the problem.
