It looks like Amy Schumer is parting ways with Sony's Barbie motion picture due to a busy schedule. In a statement released by Schumer she wrote, ?Sadly, I?m no longer able to commit to Barbie due to scheduling conflicts,? she explained. I?m bummed, but look forward to seeing Barbie on the big screen.? Questions now remain about how Sony and Mattel will go forward with the project. The film was scheduled for a June 2018 release, but with reports that Schumer was also going to lend her writing talents to the script, it seems uncertain if the film will be released that soon.
