A month after their breakup went public, Jenny Slate opened up to New York magazine about what it was like to date her Gifted co-star, Chris Evans. The actors met during a read for the movie and she said it was an instant connection with Evans telling her, "You're going to be one of my closest friends." Slate had recently ended a relationship with her husband Dean Fleischer-Camp and says she was shocked when Evans started showing romantic feelings toward her. In the interview she said, "To be quite honest, I didn't think I was his type." Eventually, the amount of attention that dating such an A-list celebrity like Evans brings became too much for their relationship, and Slate also said she was still recovering from her recent divorce divorce, but she say she has "no regrets" about the time they spent together.
