Former One Direction member, 24 year old Zayn Malik, has previously alluded to the fact that he's struggled with an eating disorder and anxiety. Now, in a new interview , he opens up about how the crippling pressure of being in one of the world's most successful boy bands led him to spiral downward until he realized he needed help. Although Malik is hesitant to use the term ?eating disorder,? he?s said before that he?d go days without eating anything. Malik explained, ?It was a control thing,. Every area of my life was so regimented and controlled, it was the one area where I could say, ?No, I?m not eating that. Once I got over the control, the eating just came back into place, super naturally.?
