Alec Guinness defined the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but when the prequels came around it was Ewan McGregor who brought the character to life again. While those films don?t enjoy the best of reputations, McGregor is still many fans? choice to play the character again, should he return to the series in one form or another. Interest in an Obi-Wan Kenobi solo movie has been high since Lucasfilm and Disney began to explore the idea of anthologies and films existing outside of the usual Skywalker Saga. While speaking to Business Insider about reprising the role of Renton in Trainspotting 2, McGregor was asked if he would be up for returning as the Jedi master.
