Todd Fisher, Carrie's brother and Debbie's son, has shared some details about plans for the tribute, saying it was made public so fans could " participate, say their goodbyes and have some closure." Those in attendance will have an opportunity to see never-before-seen footage and photos of the two stars. A program will also feature an interview conducted with Reynolds two weeks before her death. Singer James Blunt , who is a close family friend, has also written a song in Carrie's honor.
