Huge Jackman played Wolverine for seventeen years across eight movies. The film is breaking March box office records, grossing over three hundred million dollars worldwide. Logan is Jackman's last appearence as Wolverine. Jackman was pleased that he and director James Mangold were finally able to go for a hard-R rating. Jackman acknowledged that Wolverine is "one of the darkest, most complex characters in the comic-book universe." He revealed the PG-13 rating for X-Men movies has always made him cringe because there is nothing PG-13 about Wolverine.
