Ridley Scott?s highly anticipated 'Alien: Covenant' has some speculated connections to the original 'Alien' that came out in 1979. Fans are wondering if Covenant's lead character Daniels, played by Katherine Waterston, is meant to be the mother of Sigourney Weaver's character from the original film, Ellen Ripley. While that may be a cool idea, director of both films Ridley Scott, has shut down the rumor telling Screen Rant, "No, she's herself."
